Design Process
Design sprints as an important methodology in this design project. This structured process allows me to efficiently tackle complex challenges by compressing the design schedule into a focused and collaborative five-day sprint. Throughout the sprint, my cross-functional team and I immerse ourselves in understanding the problem, generating creative solutions, making informed decisions, quickly prototyping ideas, and testing them with real users.
Opening Account
The Context of the System
Bahana DXTrade currently uses Liveness Detection for facial recognition and ID document verification as part of the account opening process.
Problem
Inaccurate Pop-up Information
An incorrect or misleading pop-up message appears, causing user confusion when trying to understand the error.
Solution
To achieve better results, I implemented several solutions, including:

01
Created a new error pop-up with the message “Face not detected” and coordinated with the development team for implementation.
02
Revised the error message to be more specific: “Face not match with KTP.
Provides clearer context about the root cause of the issue
Reduces user confusion

UI Inconsistency
The interface lacks visual consistency, with UI elements following no unified design pattern. This inconsistency compromises professionalism, readability, and user comprehension of hierarchy and functionality. Key Inconsistencies Identified:
Mixed card shapes
Unified styling
Solution
From the identified issues, the proposed solution is to standardize card shapes by implementing a square design with slight corner radius. This approach achieves:
Visual consistency
A less rigid appearance
Maintained user comfort in viewing and interaction

Trade History
Uninformative Broker Summary Display
The initial Broker Summary display was considered insufficiently informative. The presented information did not meet user needs, and the layout lacked optimal structure for quick scanning, making it difficult for users to extract key insights at a glance.
Conducted in-depth interviews with experienced traders
The goal of these interviews was to understand the pain points they face when using the current broker summary and to identify their patterns in utilizing broker data.
Bottom Line
Based on the interview findings, I designed a more comprehensive and user-friendly interface that is informative and actionable, resulting in increased user satisfaction and more data-driven decision-making.
Empty State Improvement
Low User Engagement on Empty Order List Page
Adding Interactive Buttons to Empty States
I transformed the empty state from a static display to an interactive one, improving UX by providing clear options when data is unavailable and increasing conversions by guiding users to the next step.
Loyalty Program
Maintaining Customer Loyalty
Loyalty is designed to provide added value to customers, be seen as a positive benefit in their eyes, encourage continued transactions, enrich the app ecosystem, and while it offers great advantages for
End Result
End-to-End UI & UX Enhancement for Better Engagement and Clarity
The overall user experience has been significantly improved through a series of focused enhancements. The account opening flow was improved with clearer error messages to reduce confusion. UI components were made consistent for better visual clarity. The Broker Summary was redesigned to show more useful insights, while empty states were updated with CTA buttons to drive user action. A Loyalty Point feature was also added to boost engagement and retain both traders and investors.
